The House of Booze began as a simple homepage in the summer of 1998. The page was called The Men of KNAC and featured pictures of the male roomies who frequented the chatroom at that time, like KeeKee, StickyC, Trojanmann, Andy B, Do Me, Dapduki, and Zeppy. We even got a submission from RobJ, a picture of a gerbil! LOL The page was created at the suggestion of Kisstory, who had already posted a Women of KNAC page that was very popular. |

By the fall of 1998, Winter began to hatch ideas that went beyond just a simple page full of pictures. About that time, she began to go out with Rottn1, who was an aficionado of beer. When they hit upon the Roomie of the Week idea, the House of Booze was born, with HummerLA and Axlsgoddess as the first two ROTW's. The Pure Rock Baby Shower for LdyWoreBlk and CrpnDeth in April 1999 was the inspiration for the photo gallery. Popcorn and Axlgoddess originally dubbed the Chatroom News page the "gossip page" because it had funny tidbits, humorous things that had been said or done in the chatroom that others might have missed. Birthdays, parties and band dates began to appear on the gossip page as well, which eventually gave rise to their own individual pages. |

Since it's inception, the HOB's goal was to inform the roomies. We strive to keep roomies from the chatroom informed of events, get togethers, and band dates, as well as provide them with a forum for other information such as links to other roomies' homepages, pictures from parties and events, features on chatroom couples, DJs, and other roomies from the chatroom. We always entertain suggestions from the roomies because the site has always been for everyone and was never just Winter and Rottn's homepage. We hope that you will continue to send us your contributions and suggestions. Without you the HOB wouldn't be here.
