The Space Lord wanted to be Roomie of the Week because he says he strives for attention sometimes! LOL Space Lord, whose nick comes from the Monster Magnet song, uses two other nicks on occasion: TheRacksConcubine and VickisGString. He admits he doesn't use them very often because they tend to confuse people "...such as Spyder who once tried to hit on me in the chatroom!" The Space Lord is originally from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada but currently resides in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where he attends the university. However, he may return to Ottawa because he feels he'll have a better chance of forming a band there with people he knows. SL first came to the KNAC.COM chatroom in March of 2000 and says he discovered it by accident. "Any station free of Bachmann/Turner Overdrive ranks high on my list!" Even though he found it hard to choose just one favorite he did list The Rack, Mark Mendoza, Diana Deville, Nasty Neil, AJMotts, Spyder, Ally McSqueal and Frankie DiVita as his favorite DJs. SL also loved it when John Bush filled in as DJ. When it comes to the roomies he cites Fletch, Jadzia, dezz, PaulyD, ascomdog, TheVillan, TommyBOY, satan, Rorschach, daddysgirl and CC Getty as among his faves. On the musical front SL has an admirable list that

includes Monster Magnet, old Metallica, Pat Travers, Annihilator, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Anthrax, Armored Saint, Ozzy, AC/DC, Motley Crue, Nashville Pussy, In Flames, a bit of Disturbed, Slayer, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Queensrÿche, Fear Factory, Exciter, Manowar, Primal Fear, old Def Leppard, Metal Church, Black Label Society, Whitesnake, Aerosmith, Riot, Saxon, Dio, Doro Pesch, Slaughter, Dokken, GNR, Diamond Head, Lee Aaron, Kix and Tesla among others. However, SL unequivocally states that he hates bands like Limp Bizkit with every fibre of his body! The Space Lord's most memorable concert was in 1995 when he saw Megadeth and COC at La Romareda stadium in Zaragoza, Spain. He got to meet Megadeth afterward and he chatted with Dave Mustaine about the then-turbot diplomatic dispute between Canada and Spain. SL was studying in Spain at the time and he had to explain why Canada was clamping down on Spanish fishermen off of the coast of Newfoundland during class throughout 1995! Dave Mustaine defended SL by saying that since his Jackson guitar was Canadian-made, he wouldn't give him any grief over it. To this day SL treasures the backstage pass and "Youthanasia" cassette he won. In chatroom related memorable moments, SL cites the time ColBosch tried out a new nickname (Not_Rack) and he assumed that ColBosch was a chick! "My God, the laugh that he had at my expense that night!" His other memorable incidents in the chatroom include the time Mendoza wished him a happy birthday on the air then played his signature song right after Korn's "Falling Away From Me" and the time he got into an argument with The Rack over whether Monster Magnet was better than Creed! The Space Lord states that what he enjoys most about KNAC.COM is the music selection (with the exception of the nu-metal during which he turns down the volume) and the DJ's personalities which makes the station and give it its edge. He feels that everyone there is down to earth and respects the music regardless of the artist.
