PaulyD was born in Bristol, a city in the South West of the UK, in 1972. He didn't discover rock until he was about 15 years old. Guns N' Roses was the first band he became interested in and from there the Sleaze rock thing took over! He says LA Guns, Junkyard, and Skid Row were but a few of the bands whose music occupied his cassette boxes and T-shirt cupboard. Pauly discovered KNAC on a trip to California in 1992 and it had a profound effect on him. He even stayed inside some days to get a decent fix of it! There are no 24-hour rock stations in the UK! Pauly returned many times and always tuned in to 105.5 as soon as he got off the plane. When he first got online in September 19 97 he ran a few checks on KNAC, only to find a page he believes was Thrasher's. The page recalled the sad demise of the radio station. Pauly has been coming to the KNAC.com chatroom now since the summer of 1998. Skid Row and Junkyard are still his all time favorite bands, with "Slave To The Grind" being his favorite CD. Pauly also likes what he calls "pop/punk", bands such as Offspring, Rancid, MXPX, Clash and Everclear. He loves DJ Diana DeVille's Wildside show, but says that the whole KNAC format kicks ass! Pauly loves the roomies, who he says are "... a great bunch of people who can often brighten up a shitty day."
