Roland30 first came to KNAC around the end of February 2000. His fave DJ is AJ Motts because "He's cool and good to chat with…" and he plays Roland's Slayer requests! Roland says not only does AJ get along with all the roomies he makes everyone feel comfortable in the chatroom, something Roland feels is important. He frequents AJ's room the most because 6pm in the evening Sydney, Australia time is when he usually logs in to KNAC! Roland cites sugar2 as his fave roomie because she gives the nicest hugs and great advice! He says she has a "great soft loving heart. Woohoo!" His favorite bands are Iron Maiden and Ozzy Osbourne. He feels Iron Maiden is unique and consistent and lyrically "they take me to a better world which fills my soul with joy and happiness." Ozzy is one of his faves because of his days with Randy Rhoads. He lists "Goodbye To Romance", "Shot In The Dark", "Mama I'm Coming Home" and "Flying High Again" as the songs that keep him rockin! The most memorable concert Roland's ever attended was Iron Maiden's Fear of the Dark tour at the 5000 seat Hordern Pavilion in Sydney. He was really close to the front of the stage and the whole crowd was a mosh pit! The stage show was brilliant with Bruce Dickinson leaping through the air and belting out all the hits! Roland, who played guitar for 10 years and studied music for 2 years in college, lists his recent CD purchases as Metallica's S&M, Armored Saint's Revelation and Pantera's Reinventing the Steel. His fave beers are Hahn Premium Light and Guinness.
